Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021 when she joined CNN. She'll be CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, Fisher is responsible for covering everything from NASA's newly-created Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Kristin was born into the space sector as the daughter and granddaughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she's reported on space policy during the Biden and Trump Administrations on FOX News. In that period, Kristin also covered presidential impeachment proceedings and the 2020 presidential election as well as efforts of two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. The president of the time Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Prior to being hired by the channel in, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing through the local news channels including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. With her experience in front of the camera Kristin founded Field Mouse Films in 2014, which focused on making documentary-style movies for corporate clients, such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and three year old daughter.
